Description:
With 13 years of experience teaching music in some way, shape, or form, join Mr. Jim from Key of Awesome Music in this 4 week camp at the Westampton Recreation Center for a fun and educational time with music. Your child will learn basic music concepts through singing and rhythm keeping by playing several kinds of string and percussion instruments. Your child will also learn how to better work well with others, collaborate, and compromise.

Daliy Schedule:
9-9:15AM: Vocal Warm-ups/Icebreakers
9:15-9:30AM: Sing-a-long to call and response songs for the summer
5-minute break for water
9:35-9:50AM: Percussion Warm-Ups (using the body like handclaps/feet stomps/fingersnaps, metronome practice)
9:50AM-10:05AM: Guided Drum Circle with percussion instruments (hang drum, maracas, egg shakers, tambourines, drumsticks, jingle bells, bongos)
10-minute break for water and snacks
10:15AM-10:30AM: Basic Guitar, Ukulele, and Piano Concepts (how to hold instrument, how to strum and/or place fingers for simple notes and chords)
10:30-10:45AM: Practice on all 3 instruments
10:45AM-11AM-Free Jam/Group Song writing
